Buy and love your new wool

Knitting is an ancient handicraft that was already practiced in the Stone Age. The first knitting needles were made of wood or bone and the yarns were made of sheep's wool or other plant fibers. Virgin wool is a natural product and is therefore sustainable and a particularly high-quality material for knitting your new favorite pieces. In addition, virgin wool allows a very good thermal insulation, due to many air spaces inside it. Thus, it is particularly well suited for winter clothing up to a cozy blanket for cool autumn days.

Thus, the virgin wool should by no means be missing in your needlework wardrobe. At proud2craft you can get almost any color and yarn count you desire. Let yourself be inspired by our designs, which range from simple to fancy and beginner to advanced. No matter what you're in the mood for or want for your next DIY project, we at proud2craft have almost everything in our portfolio!

Buying & caring for virgin wool: what's the best way to wash virgin wool?

Do you love your favorite knits? The joy won't last forever if you wash your woolens too often. The same goes for virgin wool. But don't worry, that's no reason to stop wearing your knits. If your knitwear is not very dirty, you can first try airing it out in the fresh air.

If you still can't avoid the wash cycle, then you should follow the tips below:

With our wool detergent, you can easily wash your darlings yourself - without much effort. Hand washing is the best and most gentle way to clean your wool - and here's how:

Mix the wool detergent in the sink with a maximum of 30 degrees warm water and wash out the virgin wool clothing in it. The wool program in the washing machine is also possible in principle, but here too the 30 degree temperature must not be exceeded.
